Imaginaruim

The Imaginarium was a multimedia exhibition presented by the 154 collective and inspired by the collections and artefacts from Leeds Central Library. I worked with visual artists and writers to create an imaginary museum populated by fantastical creatures complete with stories and sounds. As a starting point I ran workshops to collect sounds from around the library […]

The Chorões

I play guitar and cavaquinho ukulele as part of The Chorões, a four-piece Brazilian street music group based in London. Since forming in 2014 we have played for private functions, at venues such as the Southbank Centre and the Royal Albert Hall, and have also played many fun sets at festivals.

Recording: Villa-Lobos Prelude 5

With The Chorões first performance coming up soon, we’ve been rehearsing a lot over the past couple of weeks, and as part of the program I’ll be performing some Villa-Lobos’ beautiful solo guitar preludes. This is a recording of his Prelude no. 5 from a rehearsal last week. The Prelude is homage to the nightlife […]

Entanglement

One of my favourite things to do is to write music for just solo guitar. It’s the medium I know the best and it helps to re-order my mind!   This is a resulting piece from one of my little composing sessions.
