  • The Spirit of Manchester

    Working with: Streetwise Opera, BBC Concert Orchestra

    I was commissioned by Streetwise Opera to compose one of nine new micro-operas to celebrate the cities of Manchester, Nottingham, and London. The micro opera was performed at the Southbank Centre, Bridgewater Hall, and was broadcast on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune program.

  • UNSPUN : Stories

    Working with: Bradford 2025, 509 Arts, The Colour Foundry

    UNSPUN was a rich and immersive installation which we (The Colour Foundry) created in collaboration with 509 Arts which was performed at Salts Mill world heritage site, and Loading Bay in Bradford. I composed the original score which blended archive sounds, spoken word, song, and brass.

  • The Coppergate Woman

    Working with: York Theatre Royal

    For the York Theatre Royal production The Coppergate Woman, I composed music for three different on-stage vocal groups, a 50-strong community choir and a live band. I also worked as musical director and co-conductor for the rehearsals and performances.

  • Love is the Strangest Thing

    Working with: Streetwise Opera, The Orchestra of Opera North

    I was commissioned to compose a second micro opera for Streetwise Opera in late 2025. The piece, ‘Love is the Strangest Thing’ was was performed in early 2026 at the Lowry, Salford alongside The Orchestra of Opera North. As always, it was a joy to work with the Streetwise performers and team.

  • Sand House

    Working with: The Sand House Charity

    I was commissioned as a sound designer and composer for Sand House, an audio drama produced by The Sand House Charity, adapted from their 2018 stage play. Working with writer Peter Spafford, and director Olwen May, the play was recorded at Chapel FM and is now streaming on Spotify, YouTube, and all major platforms.

  • Wrestling The Walrus

    Working with: Royal Exchange Theatre, 154 Collective

    A 154 Collective and Royal Exchange Theatre co-production – winner of the 2018 Hodgkiss Award.

    I co-composed the music and songs for the play alongside Hayley Youell and James Dey.

  • The Hidden Garden

    Working with: Theatre Blah Blah Blah, Leeds Playhouse

    I was commissioned by Theatre Blah Blah Blah to compose and create sound design their beautiful family show, The Hidden Garden. This show celebrated how gardening brings communities together and breathes new life into abandoned places.

  • Rabbit Girl and the Search for Wonder

    Working with: 154 Collective, Creative Scene

    I composed the original music and songs for Rabbit Girl and the Search for Wonder; a family show with music, animation and puppetry which toured extensively throughout England.

  • The Glasshouse

    Working with: Wayne Sables Project, CAST in Doncaster

    I collaborated with the Wayne Sables Project team to develop Glasshouse, an interactive light and sound installation. I composed an adaptive score that subtly evolves when interacted with through touch sensitive points.

  • The Magic of Wild Heather

    Working with: The National Theatre, CAST Doncaster

    I worked with fellow musician Hayley Youell to compose original songs and music for this ambitious theatre project from Doncaster Cast and National Theatre.

  • Wildflower

    Working with: Barnsley Museums, National Trust, Feels Like Home

    In 2025 I worked with the newly formed Feels Like Home group choir in Barnsley to help them create a new piece of music inspired by blossoms and the healing and grounding influence of nature. The resulting song, 'Wildflower' was performed at the Wentworth Castle Gardens Voices Blooming Event.
